Toronto police corruption

I've had many encounters with Toronto police, where i was stopped and asked questions by police officers even in my own neighbourhood. every one of these encounters ended with a (208)or better known as a police information card. I understand that police officers have to make sure that our neighbourhoods are safe, but how can I feel safe when it becomes hard to trust Toronto police officers.

I came across this article about corrupt police officers in the Toronto police service. However, this makes me wonder about how many more officers out their are corrupt but haven't got caught yet. and also makes me wonder about people that were victimized by corrupt police officers, and won't speak about. The city has to start cleaning up the streets by dealing with police corruption, because I believe its much more dangerous to have them out there than actual criminals.
